Beer Exchange Day 10

I have water! I have water! Okay, I am also $250 poorer, but the last time I had a pipe burst, it took over five days before it was repaired, so this is pretty okay. The turnaround was only about 36 hours and hopefully I don’t have any memorabilia that got wet and isn’t salvageable. We’ll see. In the meantime, I’m just going to think about how much I enjoyed last night’s Survivor and also Beer Exchange Day 10.

Follow me through the cut for all my thoughts on both!

Beer Exchange Day 10 - Unwrapped

First of all, Beer Exchange Day 10 was an old classic – Eighty-Eight Brewing’s Good Morning. Good Morning is a Vietnamese Coffee Stout and, despite the fact that it describes itself as bitter, I love it. Because it is definitely not bitter. It shares a lot of connective tissue with Vietnamese Coffee and the sweetness of that beverage is threaded throughout. After all, it is only a 6.5% ABV with a 40 IBU. Not intense at all. Just yummy.

And I would say the Survivor was also not intense at all. The problem is, the other best players got voted out during part one of the finale, so this episode was fairly boring. Sam tried his best, but… meh. And, don’t get me wrong, because I respect her dominant game and continually playing from the bottom? But I feel like the winner kind of played like a jerk. She played a good game, but I felt weird while I was watching it. And a lot of her collaborators were kind of dicks to the other players during final tribal. (I think. I was tired and stressed while I watched the episode.) And this is probably me reacting in response to last season’s winner being Kenzie, who won on her social game. So my heart is expecting that.

Actually, that’s a cool thing to figure out about myself. I prefer social game winners – probably because that’s the game I would try to play if I ever did the game. (Which I wouldn’t. Because I hate being cold.) So obviously I don’t like winners who don’t (or can’t) do that. And now I’m excited to see what next season brings!

What are y’all thinking about Survivor 47? I loved the chaos but was indifferent to the end – would love to hear from you!
