Beer Exchange Day 3

Woof. Yesterday’s post was… well, not heavy, but certainly not fun. And definitely not festive. So I aim to rectify that today by doing Beer Exchange Day 3. It will be fun, it will be festive, it will have a beverage. Perfect post, am I right?

Hooray!

Beer Exchange Day 3 - wrapped

Now, I must admit that I did not do anything too special while drinking this beer. I was a little bit behind on the Christmas advent puzzle that T bought me. (And by “a little”, I mean “I started it on the third day of December”.) So I started the beer while completing the first three days worth of the puzzle.

Beer Exchange Day 3

Beer 3 was Claire’s beer and long-time fans know that Claire picks her beers based on the label and sometimes they are wild. Often delicious, but sometimes wild.

Beer Exchange Day 3 - unwrapped

This year was delicious, but somehow not wild! Claire hit up longtime favourite of the blog, Eighty-Eight Brewing, and selected a small batch lager, City Pop. This is where I would normally link to their website and all the details… but City Pop isn’t even on their website! That is how special this beer is! It is a rice lager, sweet and crisp, without a touch of bitterness. The perfect little beer for a casual night at home with a puzzle and some holiday vlogs.

I’m curious! What do you think about rice lagers? Do you find them to be an elevated lager or overrated or somewhere in between? I love hearing about different people’s tastes!
